Transcendence Training
Transcendence: Healing Our Collective Story
A new training by Richard Bolstad and Julia Kurusheva. Coaching and counselling people to resolve individual trauma when the world is in crisis is putting the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff. In this revolutionary new approach, we invite you to the collective healing of humanity, using a combination of group activities and roleplays (“sociodrama”) and inspiring NLP visualization exercises we will expand our understanding of trauma and resilience in families, communities, cultures and civilizations. We will experience trauma recovery models from a wide range of cultural sources and get a sense of the deep history of human trauma and resilience. We will understand the biology and sociology of trauma recovery. This two day training is designed for people who have some familiarity with NLP and want to feel more free of their own collective or historical traumatic responses; for coaches who notice that their clients are caught in cross-generational trauma. It is also suitable for group leaders and trainers who want to work with collective trauma such as war, colonization, collective religious trauma and economic collapse.
What will you learn?
- This is Richard and Julia’s absolute latest material. It is an opportunity to connect with the latest research as it applies to NLP, and to experience a model which integrates much of what we have been teaching over the last decade.
- Experience community healing processes applicable to any large scale historical challenges, in groups, pairs and individually.
- Get a new view of history that puts you in charge of co-developing a more human future.
- Learn the scientific research behind cross-generational and cross-cultural healing.
- Integrate roleplay and sociodrama into your toolkit for working with clients.
- Learn and use Julia Kurusheva’s “Transcendence” process for healing collective trauma.
A signed copy of the book will be sent to you before the course along with instructions for a small preparation task to maximise your learning at the weekend.
Richard won the NLP International Award from the ANLP in 2017, the first year it was offered, for his work in international trauma recovery. The ANLP judges commented “Richard’s nomination stood out to us as we could really see the difference he has made being an international NLP trainer in many parts of the world. He delivers with integrity and precision and has offered some invaluable help to people traumatised in the aftermath of earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan. He has also provided help in the aftermath of war in Eastern European countries. He has been described as “modest and very personable” and reading about the difference his NLP work has made, especially in response to a crisis, is pretty amazing.”

What is Transcendence Like?
What is it like to experience the new Transcendence process for collective healing? Here are people’s comments immediately after the experience, from the first 100 people taken through the process either individually or in a group, on several continents:
- “An elegant approach that weaves all things together – from that starting place. Amazing, profound, powerful. Like wow.” Tere Taukamo, Mental Health & Addiction Clinician
- “Profound – deep healing at levels I wasn’t actually aware of. Deeply moving. Easy to follow and just awesome. Connecting to the greater healing inside out.” – Jane Stammers, Addictions Recovery Specialist, Coach, Trainer
- “Love the refreshing process this is bringing me… the process helped me learn and integrate some past “stuff” to reduce an 8 (emotion) to a 2-3.” – Mark Klaassen, Trainer and Business Mentor, Time to Prosper, and Lifestyle Business Builders.
- “I can’t get the same feeling that I had before, again, and I tested every way. The idea of reconnecting is relieving. It was a very nice experience.” Heba Zayed, Pharmacist, coach and trainer
- “I cannot recall the feelings that bothered me. I’m trying to recall the two situations and how they feel and it’s not coming together. And now when I’m in the situation another voice comes responding to that “Just remember, she came from a different place, a different situation, she meant well”: as if its reforming, or reclaiming.” Mai Bassal, Teens and Kids coach and trainer
- “It feels nice. When you were speaking about the cosmos it was as if I’m not me any more; I’m a field of energy. So it was a really healing process. As we were going through the levels, the heaviness started to get lighter and lighter. I don’t feel it anymore. We are very blessed.” Lubna Al Sharif, Master Trainer, Coach and Mentor, Laurus Training Centre.
- “Transcendence is a unique process. It changed the perception of my problem by 180 degrees, and expanded understanding. Thank you very much. I am very impressed.” Sylwia Włodarczyk, therapist and coach, Poland
- “A process that changes the perception of the situation on so many levels that nothing is the same anymore.” Magdalena Daraż-Gogół, NLP trainer and coach, MSC Coaching, Poland
- “Transcendence is an exceptionally beautiful and supportive process that led me through the recesses of my history and my mind, leading to a moment of emotion, understanding and seeing myself and others on many levels. Thank you.” Agnieszka Grzeskiewicz, coach and therapist, Poland
- “I believe that this process gives an adequate response to the way we are created – the grounding. It organizes the proportions and frees us from … I don’t even know how many constraints … gives vision and access to Being. Thank you very much.” Marzena, Poland
- “The whole process was very pleasant and allowed me to distance myself from various behaviors – my own and other people’s. It was also important to me that knowing all these connections does not mean either judging or justifying parents, family, society, etc. It just is, and it helps to get rid of negative emotions and have more warmth and happiness both for yourself and for others. Thank you.” Adam Ostrowski, Poland
- “Very powerful and energising session – I feel so energised by what I learned, especially the last exercise – it was ‘moving’ tingling sensations through my body as I let it settle within me.” Glenda Yearwood, NLP coach, supervisor and trainer, London
- “The experience was transformative and helped to transcend from current state to past state to future state with a emotional understanding of a feeling of what has gone before my existence and what I now need to keep going and leave as a legacy into a continuing journey”. Jitay, London
